Like any other family business in the world, we have a similar history of development, inherited from three generations of woodworking masters. It all began as a family tradition in 1918 and was continued by our father until 1986, when we registered our first company "Ukaj Company".
"Ukaj Company" was founded in 1986 with a long tradition in which doors were our main product.
Our vision from the beginning was to develop the company into an industrial manufacturer with international standards. The mission was to initially meet the demands of the local market by making products with the best possible quality and creating new and functional products from wood.
Our commitment and our tradition have fully contributed to achieving the desired success in a relatively short period of time. The post-war period brought rapid development to Kosovo as 65% of the apartments and houses were burned down. The demand for our products was very high and grew day by day. After the successful steps of the "Ukaj Company" in the innovation and manufacture of doors and other high quality wood products, we founded another company called Elnor Furniture in Prishtina in 2007. Tables, chairs, kitchens, bedrooms and wooden interiors continued to be manufactured in the new factory.
In view of the export requirements, especially in European countries from 2010, we are opening another representative office in Zurich, Switzerland, under the name ELNOR Swiss.
Now our group is made up of "Ukaj Company", "Elnor Furniture" and "Elnor Swiss". Our production facilities consist of 13,000 m2 at two locations with high production capacity and the latest wood processing technology. We offer our customers elegant quality and very stylish products. 45% of our production line is exported and we export to countries like Switzerland, Germany, Finland, Ireland, Denmark and Luxembourg, Slovenia.
